went in the oaks where there is usually a few at least,,I didnt see any cuttings or find any sign of anything,,the dry spell must have made hard on the acorns ,hopefully the hickorys up on the high ridge are loaded down but I am not to optimistic,,
where are yall killing any squirrels,I havent been in the woods all summer and from the looks of the acorns here if a person could find one big white oak with acorns he would be set for bow season,

I went on Saturday and didn't find a single cut hickory nut. There are plenty of nuts, they just weren't cutting them. Checked in a pine thicket because someone told me they had been wearing out the pines. Nothing there either. Saw two squirrels the whole day. Maybe its the heat, I don't know.

I have killed a few in the swamps.Hickories and pin oaks.
