Does lifetime sportsman need a temp tag?

I am getting paranoid in my old age and also forgetful. But, does a lifetime sportsman license holder need a temp tag to harvest their first deer of the season or just wait until the first check in of the season to receive a temp tag?

You are not required to have a tag for the first animal, and then will have a temporary tag after you check in your first animal of the year.
