i couldnt wait to go dig this labor day wknd, we had gotten permission to dig a 400+ acre land that hadnt been dug in over 25 years, but it was hard finding good patches. found many 4 prongs like in this pic along with this copperhead. now, i dont like to kill snakes in the wild, but this one had to go per land owners request...to be honest im more afraid of black racers than the poisonous ones, black racers are creepy..they will stare you down while acting like a cobra when startled.
i found this pop a top beer can near a patch. i took 4 biggest root and sealed it up in a qrt mason jar filled with moonshine from a good friend i know.
cant wait to go again

went again last wknd and came upon this nice patch of 4 four prongs, i would have never seen it if i didnt look at my feet going through thickets. i was stomping on a brush while trying to take a cler pic.
heres a good contrast of the drought we had on the second pic, on the way out my hiking boots gave up, the soles had separated from the boot $\:D$ ...got lucky it didnt completely fell off in the woods. them steep hlls are rough on boots
cant wait to go this comin wknd with new boots
