I am really thinking about shooting one this year. Im sure it is as fun as hunting with a compound bow. I was wondering if you still have to hold low for close shots? What kind of broad heads are most of you shooting? Just curious about starting a new hobby....

This is my first shooting one, so there are others that can offer much more informed advice than me. So far, I am still working on the scope settings. here is how it breaks down: Top dot is dead on at 20yds and 30yds Middle dot is hitting at 50yds. (40yds is between the two dots.) Haven't backed up enough for the bottom dot, but suspect 60yds. This one is much flatter shooting than my compound bow.

40 yards needs to be your max distance. New crossbows are fast, but they really drop velocity past 40 yards.

Keep your fingers below the the string, or you won't want to shoot it any more.
