He isn't THE answer, but Romney is a step away from Obama, which should be the immediate goal.
I believe Romney will win more handily than this map shows, but I'll be happy with this.

That's from July 25. Before the Ryan pick, RNC convention, and Eastwood skit.

I despise the Obama administration as much as anyone, but that map and article is over a month old. It's going to be close. Too many American voters have bought into the Western European model of Social Democracy and will vote for Obama no matter what.

I've been reading some articles about the 2008 election and was not supprised at all. Depending which one you want to believe between 10 and 17 MILLION Conservatives DID NOT VOTE in the 2008 election.
The same thing CAN happen again this year. if they don't vote then Obama wins AGAIN easy.

Fltenn, you think big.
I have been saying more than once this election will boil down to whether it is a 2008 type election or a 2010 election. Recent polling is showing that those who identify themselves as repubs is at an all time high while those who call themselves democrats is near an all time low. About a 4 point difference with repubs ahead for the first time ever The dems lowest was in feb of this year.
These numbers are not used in poll design with most polls using a 2008 model which was the last presidential election. IMO that is under polling repubs by as much as 10%. Together the under polling added to the party identification could be hiding something big, very big.
It is Romneys to lose and I am becoming more impressed with his game plan daily.

I should've checked the date on the poll.
Citico Tim, I completely agree on the under polling. I didn't know about the party identification. That is yet another indicator pointing to a big win for Romney.
I also agree this is Romney's to lose. He has ran a very good campaign so far and isn't allowing himself to be kicked around like McCain was four years ago.

This guy loves to dissect polls. Worth putting on your blog list.
