I have the annual sportsman's license, do I need the migratory bird permit also? Or is it covered under my sportsman?

Yes, you are required to have that permit. It is free of charge for you.

i might be wrong but if u get the dove permit when u buy the sportsman liscense its free. if u didnt get it then it cost 2-3 bucks

Unless you bought your sportman's license at Academy Sports, you may already have a migratory bird permit...Bass Pro includes it without asking. And id you did not get it, there is no additional charge.

Well I checked today I had it on my tag, go figure I got it at a local hunting store.

Well I checked today I had it on my tag, go figure I got it at a local hunting store.
A large portion of the license agents improperly include it with the Sportsman License without asking the survey questions.
Glad you didn't have to run one down.
