We all know a guy that is full of it most of the time but will defend himself to the ends of the earth. Well this guy at my work said his buddy is a farmer and shot a 8 pt and a 10 pt that were "eating" his crop right in front of the game warden but he just laughed and didn't do anything about it because the warden is his buddies brother. Now is a farmer allowed at kill game animals out of season to protect his crop?

Yes, if he has a big game animal depredation permit.

Talking with a guy the other day that made a statement; I own the land cant I do what I want, I said nope. It is amazing how many people think and get away with this all the time.

Well I am almost positive that this individual does not have a big game animal depredation permit. He only plants corn and winter rye to get deer and dove. I happen to know the "farmer" personally. He doesn't give a crap about the field and if he does have a permit it is just so he can get away with shooting them when he wants to as he doesn't harvest his crop or make money off of it.
