Ive for years always hunted with 7-1/2s or 8s but in a hoard of ammo i recently acquired i have 2 boxes of Remington premier light target in #9 are 9s efficient enough for dove?

Shot size 9 works good if doves aren't flying high.

9s will bring down doves if they are in close. My problem with 9s is that they don't usually blow on through, thus you bite lead at the dinner table. 8s are a good place to start for doves, 7.5s are IMO where it's at for doves. Also the 7.5s will hit harder at longer ranges.
