dove shot size question

Ive for years always hunted with 7-1/2s or 8s but in a hoard of ammo i recently acquired i have 2 boxes of Remington premier light target in #9 are 9s efficient enough for dove?

Shot size 9 works good if doves aren't flying high.

I use 6.5's for the higher flyers in bbl 1 and 8's in bbl 2

I use #7.5 for my 20 ga & #8 for my 12 ga however, this year I bought a case of Remington #7.5 cause they was sold out of #8

depends on the shooter and the gun ,its whatever your gun shoots the best,all guns are gonna differant from one another, and whatever you like the best

9s will bring down doves if they are in close. My problem with 9s is that they don't usually blow on through, thus you bite lead at the dinner table. 8s are a good place to start for doves, 7.5s are IMO where it's at for doves. Also the 7.5s will hit harder at longer ranges.

I love 9 shot with my xtra full turkey choke. It is deadly on doves.
