Theory on the convention’s mystery speaker: Nancy Reagan?
Speculation has it being a high profile democrat, or Nancy Reagan, or General Petraeus. I predicted 2 weeks ago when Trump first hinted at a surprise that it would be Sarah Palin.
Romney will move to the center, it is a strategic given, and it would be wise to solidify the Tea Party folks behind Palin. They vote. And the excuse she has given for not being available is too thin. I think she is toying with the media, again.

Speculation is what it is. Could be a high-profile democrat, could be well-spoken republican that might appeal to certain disenchanted democrats or independents.
The possibilities are endless, and it could be very shocking, or not.
Perhaps it will be Michael Moore. Perhaps Herman Cain. Could be Warren Buffet, could be Kim Kommando.
My take is it will be someone thought to draw more from the center to left-leaning independents and more conservative democrats. For that reason, I doubt it will be Sara Palin, and fully expect it to have appealing shock value among some segment of voters that might currently be leaning towards Obama.
Maybe it will be the rapper "50 Cent".
Guess we'll find out soon.

Ron Paul.
The right are going to vote for Mitt no matter what... they need to draw in the moderates, indies, and self-proclaimed "free thinkers".
