They've been stacked up like that all down the Duck for the last few weeks, Catman.

They've been stacked up like that all down the Duck for the last few weeks, Catman. hmm I'm at the duck at the moment but haven't seen the first buff. However I'm directly below the dam looking for rockfish or some kind of bait for catfish (forgot the cast net) and there are no buffs here at the moment. I did see a rockfish busting shad a few minutes ago... Good sign

I'm not saying you're wrong, Catman, but I've never seen or heard about a rockfish in the Duck River that far up. I assume you were below Town Dam in Columbia? I've heard of folks catching them down towards Waverly but never that far up river(132 miles).

I have only heard of them being caught there a couple different times from people on this forum, so I can't say for sure, but I saw a good sign of one chasing baitfish below the dam so I think there may be a few in there.

I've seen or heard about smallmouth, largemouth, spots, sauger, walleye, rock bass, crappie, bluegil, musky, channels, flatheads, white bass, and even a piranha(Shelbyville). But never a rockfish. I would have to see pictures to believe it.

I will be down there again trying to catch them sometime. If I do catch one I will definitely take pics.
