I believe the state record spurs will be topped really soon, I recieved a pic today of a set of 2+ inch hooks that was killed in spring 2011, pretty sure it's legit!

....would rather see a tape measure beside them instead of a finger. x2. The first thing I did was measure my finger, just like in the picture, for reference, and my ruler showed a tad better than two inches. Just an estimate and for sure not exact.
x2.... I came up with around 2" myself.... But everyones fingers are different.

Awesome! When I killed my bird that had 1 7/8inch spurs, I really had no idea how to measure correctly. I relied on a couple of experts, but I don't think there are official scorers like in B&C, but I could be wrong.
