Both are great rests and you won't go wrong with either. I just like the ripcord better for the customer service and it has far less plastic parts including the paddle

I reluctantly put an HDX on my bow. I went to get a Biscuit but they didn't have any in stock with the correct size hole for my Axis shafts. I thought my Blazer vanes would make contact with the "containment" bar on the HDX so I dremeled it off. So far so good. I like that you can let down with it and the launcher stays up. I'm still not keen on drop aways though.

I bought the QAD.

I have the same concerns about the containment arm and Fletching contact. I will spray some foot spray to see if there is any contact.

I read on A.T. that the target size shafts wouldn't clear the bar and that they had cut it off. The Axis shafts are a lot smaller diameter but still looked like it would be close on contact. I just went ahead and cut the bar off. I did run into contact issues with the timing of the rest...I am using the cable slide and couldn't get it to hold the rest in the full draw position while still letting it slide on the cable...when I would get it tight enough to hold the rest into shooting position, it would just ride with the cable and not let it slide through it. I got it fixed now.

I like the free SOG knife that came with it. That is pretty cool. Pay $109 for a knife and get an arrow rest for free haha.

The knife was definitely a cool feature. If I have any clearance issues I will remove the bar as well.

The HDX tuned well with no fletching contact. It so far looks to be a very solid, well designed rest.

i have shot both ripcord and now the HDX both did great but i like that you can let down and the lauch arm stays up. been caught too many times letting down and the arrow comes down on the riser.
