I've got the 452 american with a 16" barrel and a weaver 2-10 power scope on it. I've beat it up a little but don't plan on ever selling this gun. I would also like to have another 452/3/5 with the full stock and a 1-4x leupold. Now that is a beautiful gun.

If you want extreme quiet and the power of a .22 short. You should look at the Benjamin Marauder .22, It is so quiet you can only hear the bullet smack the squirrel. Did some research on this Benjamin Marauder and am very favorably impressed . . . . . . How many times can it be accurately shot before the air chamber needs to be re-filled? 40 shot's or 4 ea. 10 shot magazines. Then you still have usuable shots, but the POI starts to drop and you lose FPS. The first year I bought one I killed 9 squirrels out of the same hickory tree by sitting there for an hour or so. I can see that particular air rifle becoming my "go to" squirrel gun. That's pretty impressive.

Please advise. That one is my duck sling as I want a classic style sling (leather but thin) for this one and just haven't settled yet.

I can't say enough how happy I am with my 2-7 leoupold. It's the nicest scope I have so I think a conquest is my next purchase for the 25-06. I just don't shoot it much...

I just like the lines/look of that compact scope on that rifle. Plus, most of the time I keep the magnification dialed down anyway so I can find them quicker.
