Have you ever swapped your mainspring housing and replaced with one that has a mag well?

The one on my Crimson Ultra Carry II is made of plastic. It has to go. Any suggestions?

Thanks! I checked out Brownell's site. Are they one-size fit all? My Kimber is ultra-compact (3" barrel).

I changed out my plastic Kimber housings on two 3" CDP's and one 4" Stainless Covert with the same part number metal housing. You can take a look at this one from Midway USA - http://www.midwayusa.com/product/931019/...stainless-steel
