I got drawn for the doe hunt. How does this work at the island. Can I drive in the wma or is access limited. can you use a 4-wheeler.

Yes, you can use a 4 wheeler and if you have one this is the way to go. You can also drive into the WMA with a vehicle but if you want to get to some of the better spots you need a 4 wheeler because that will get a little further back. Oh by the way, enjoy seeing all of those big bucks walking by and not being able to sling a meat missle. It's an experience if you want to see some good bucks.

We will send out an information packet to everyone who draws a permit. We will also have someone on-site at the check station for the entire hunt to answer questions. An ATV is highly recommended.

The actual permit is mailed from Nashville. The information packet will come from the Jackson Office.
