Yep, Psycho, the PSE would happen to be mine... and I do with they could have changed the setup on the back sights and elevation adjustment. I may play around and try to modify that knob later.... just kinda wanting to use this one for a few years until I can afford a higher ended one.

I have the wildcat C5 and really like it, it has a much better trigger and shoots faster than the Horton I had last year.

IMHO..

Barnett is on the low end of the quality scale.

I have heard that they have had, or maybe still having, monetary problems.

That in and of itself is scary.

If they go out of business you could be stuck with a "no parts available" bow.

Thanks guys for the help! The chance of them going out of business scares me more than anything. I had heard that about one of the companies but was not for sure which one.

I bought a Barnett Wildcat for my first bow and then later an Excalibur. I've had no complaints with the Barnett and it still shoots fine. I think I paid $300 at Wally World for the whole package including arrows and red dot scope. If you should get one be sure and get a rope cocker. I use the one that came with the Excalibur and found that it made a world of difference in the accuracy on the Barnett as well. It may not hold up as long as the Excalibur, but it does the job for a reasonable price.

I had a Barnett Revolution and was impressed with how fast it seemed to shoot. It shot well out to 30 yards. The downfall to it was how violent it was when i fired it. It didn't kick per say but was loud and seemed as if it would fly apart with every shot. I contributed this with crossbows in general.

I recently got a Horton and see a world of difference. It shooots great and does not have such a violent action when fired. It seems to have a much more stable scope mount and be better built.

If I had to go back to my Barnett I would not be happy with it now after shooting the Horton.

That says a lot right there in my opinion. You have to feel good about what your shooting. After the first time I felt the amount of strain and high poundage on those limbs and string then I knew that I would never leave my recurve and go back to a compound and I only shoot a 150 lb Excalibur Vixen. I might some day go up to the Phoenix but that would be it. All the other higher poundage bows you all can have them.
Good luck either way.
