what type crossbow case is best. hard plastic or cloth.. and what type sling do you use. thanks for your help.

I bought a soft case from Dick's sporting goods for mine. Not sure of the brand, I think its Game Plan or something like that. It's whatever brand their other gun cases are. It was around $40 and has a pocket for your quiver and another side pocket for misc stuff.
And for the sling, I don't use one. I walk in slow and have the bow ready in case something jumps up.

I use a plano hardcase. It was $70-80 at bass pro. There are too many things on a crossbow that can be damaged easily sliding around in the truck. I used a Claw crossbow sling for a couple of years, but it was really too large. Since my crossbow is typically carried in to the woods by hand and in my hands 99% of the time i switched it out for a regular rifle sling.

I have a hard case. Better protection when going on trips and storing for off season.
As for a sling, mine came with one and I also bought a Claw Sling. They are so awkard to carry on your shoulder/back that I now don't even use a sling. I just carry it.
