Found out today that the only Sunday checking station in the area (20-30 miles)will now be closed on Sundays. I can check a deer from my phone or laptop with WI-fi from the local fast food joint but i have no full size computer at home with a printer. I know I can print off temp kill tags prior to using internet check so I would have extra of those on hand but I guess my question is this....What does one do about a permanent kill tag in this situation? Not only because we need one but also because 99% of processors out there wont take a deer without one? How do we satisfy their needs?

Do I just drive that long distance and search for an open checking station and hope the processor is still open when I get there or is there a way to make this work?

I would talk to my person processing if they have a printer u can use. And if you are going though a town there is the library \:\) some suggestions. I know when I went to a lake the guy selling bate had a computer and printer people could use to buy there fishing lisc. I think with the great job this state does for making things accessible there should be some way to get what you need. I would even bet I would find a coffee shop that would print my Doc for me with a nice smile a please and maybe a good tip \:\)

To accomodate situations like you described our LE Division worked on creating a legal fix and you'll see it available come deer season. Before the season starts you'll have the ability to print blank permanent kill tags. Just print them out prior to your hunt and fill them out as you need them.
