A trash can!
Check out http://www.rimfirecentral.com they have a Remington fourm they might be able to help.
A Ruger 10/22 is better for aftermarket goodies.

Lol on the trashcan. Lots of people slam them but I like mine. I bought it in '98 right after they came out and were supposed to have magazine and jamming issues. Mine has been great and is as reliable as my 10/22. I still use the old plastic first generation magazine but blow out the ammo residue with compressed air occasionally. It shoots pretty decent and I use it for a knockabout .22. I do have a lot nicer, more accurate rifles when I am serious about squirrel hunting.
Now that Marlin 99 series is pretty much prime for the trash can imo. A guy once gave me two of them and I did't even take them!! They have more parts than the space shuttle. I know they are popular and they have sold a few billion but I don't like them. Plateau Hunter
