I've been getting a real nice buck on trail camera for the past couple weeks. Any ideas to what would be the best way to still check my cameras every week or so and not bump him out?

I wouldnt check it so often, and when you go wait until it is raining, walk as if you were still hunting

I got the biggest buck I ever saw on trail cameras. I checked them every week and replaced the corn and checked the Trophy rock. I think he actually changed his pattern to correspond to all of my corn sites. I killed him October 7th 2010. I have hundreds of pictures of this deer.

You are aware hunting over bait in TN is illegal right?

I don't see were he said he killed it over bait. Of course Columbia Scott, if you did have bait out within 250 yards and it wasn't conpletely removed two weeks prior to the day you killed him you were breaking the law. If that is the case I would suggest keeping it a secret and never doing it again in TN.

Good buck btw!

I believe if you keep checking them enough the deer will get used to you and not see you as a threat, especially this time of year. We check cameras at least once a week, sometime twice. Still get pictures of the bucks and the mature bucks.

I would do the exact opposite. I would go on the dryest day I could and I would walk like I was swatting bugs.

Reasons: Deer are not afraid of man. They are afraid of man the predator. Therefore, don't walk like a predator.

Dry soil and leaves holds far less scent than wet soil and leaves.
