Ate these everyday, the cheek meat is awesome, the walleye fishing is pretty good considering we do not fish for them, love to eat them though.

My favorite bird there is, loved listening to and watching them since first trip over 30 years ago. We watched this eat crawfish for about 20 mintutes.

With a crawfish in his mouth

Old "tooth" as we call him, fun to catch but can be nuisance.

Horsehoe bay, full of weeds and lilly pads around it

Here is what if found in there, it was funny my brother caught only pike, and I caught only smallmouth

A little smallie from the back of Alexandria bay

The biggest pike caught, it was HOT for the most part while we there and the locals said the pike, especially the larger ones were deep which we really did not even attempt to fish deep.

My dad, the main purpose for this trip, he is 79 and he caught them well.

Dad taking it easy

Rainy is beautiful as all the lakes are I have been on in Ontario

We saw many eagles, my brother got a great picture of this one flying holding a fish in its feet when it took off.

My brother with "the fillets and cheek meat" while I am getting a smallmouth, this was next to Boom island the first afternoon, we found them feeding, it was great

This is the island we camped on, maybe just over an acre, we made it through 60-70 mph winds the last night. We were LUCKY that the wind came from the other side of the island, it sounded like a blue angel was taking off for about an hour. Tom at Camp Narrows told us it pulled some cleats out of his boat dock where his boats were tied up. We were so lucky it did not hit camp head on, I think we would have been tree hugging and who knows what would have happened to the boat.

My brother and myself

The "cook", among many of my friends, he is highly thought of for his cooking abilities

Breakfast and a smallie that got let go because of the walleye

A chunk

A cool private place on an island

My brother

and a pretty smallie
Still my favorite place to be of anywhere.

That is my dream, right there. A fishing trip to the border (or north of it) with my dad and brother, camping and living off of what you catch and maybe a few beans.
That is awesome!
