nice fish! Last time I went there, a few weeks ago, I caught one about the same size right up in the spillway. I can't go out there again till I get a boat trailer (and do a little maintenance work on my boat). Can't wait to be on the water below OH again. Are they generating again yet?

Did you catch that from the bank or right below where the floodgates were open?
catman - They have been generation a little bit lately, not much though. The floogates are still constantly open. I wonder about striper fishing from the bank, is it a waste of time or do they venture away from the dam sometimes?

I haven't tried since I only bring my boat down there anymore. I think if they let water out of the lock you might have better luck from the bank. But I don't know.

Now that I have a gas motor I will have to be more careful... more expensive to fix if I break something. Just be especially careful when there is no heron standing in the middle of the water or if you are upstream from the rocks.

We need to figure out some sort of bouy system to tie on those rocks. Hard to imagine those rocks are just a few inches under the water in the middle of the spillway like that. I've hit them with my trolling motor once or twice when the current got me out of control.
