Never have seen a live one....all dead on the side of the road.
The first one in Tennessee I ever saw was 17 or 18 years ago just north of Columbia near where the Carter Creek pike meets the Nashville Highway.
Recently, while getting on I24 off Murfreesboro Rd in Nashville, there was a dead one on the side off I24 just as I was blending into the east bound traffic.....How it made it that far in busy Nashville I don't know....go figure.

I've heard they're following the fire ants north, I guess they must feed on them, glad something does.

B.S. ive killed over 70 of them nasty things in Lawrence county and have never seen one remotely close to a fire ant mound. They. Feed on roots nuts tubers grubs and other worms i can guarantee no fireants

Heck they are all the way up into Cross Creeks area for the past two years. See them dead all the time. Never can see one while hunting or driving to take one out though.
