Fun and lots of good eats later. We kept everything under 2#. The lake we were fishing is primarily a bream lake so the bass population needs to be kept in check.

Bguy if you had been paying attention this was a management issue on a private pond. The pond is a bream pond so the bass have to be controled.

Craddock is right. This is a private club in AL. State laws do not apply. That is not true of the deer or turkeys, all state laws apply there because they were not stocked with private funds nor controlled by high fence.
Until the sale of most of the property, we had two bass lakes and two bream lakes. Only the bream lakes remain and are not open to the public.

Great catch and some really good eatin! We normally buy some blackened seasoning and cook em up right in the kitchen via an ole iron skillet.. Hard to beat too!

....and you can only have 2 times your limit in your freezer????...
What? You can only keep two times your limit in the freezer on bass? That's absolutely ridiculous. Please tell me this isn't true. It's not like it could be enforced, TWRA doesn't go in people's houses checking their freezer. Not yet anyway.
