Ultimate Fighting Championship heavyweight contenders Roy Nelson and Shane Carwin will serve as coaches on the 16th season of "The Ultimate Fighter," and they'll meet in a season-ending fight in the show's live finale.

Wikipedia says Welterweights, thats the only place I can find anymore info on the weight class so far.

A flurry of calls from UFC officials to MMA managers this week has brought a bevy of welterweights to Las Vegas to try out for the 16th installment of "The Ultimate Fighter."
For the next season officials have scrapped open auditions and opted instead to interview potential contestants directly.

Looks like they are getting rid of the live format also! Thanks god! I hated the live format and the new commentator they had.
Yahoo! Sports previously reported that the long-running reality show, which this past season debuted an innovative live format, is set to switch back to a pre-taped format.

They're gonna have to change up a bit though or this may be the last season. Word is this last season produced the worst ratings in the series history. Of course you can probably contribute that to the live format and the fact that it was on a Friday night time slot. I'd love for them to be able to focus more on the fights. Maybe have double elimination that way they can have more fights. I just can't get into all the crap they show for 45 minutes of the show so I can watch 5 or 10 minutes of fights. It's the fighting that's gotten the UFC where it is today not the wanna be WWE style story lines.

Dana said he wanted TUF moved to a different night but Fox was sticking with Friday nights for this season and if the ratings were still low they would listen to Dana and move it to a night he got to choose. I am guessing they have a few year contract in that case and there is not much chance this is the last season. It brings too many new fighters into the UFC and too many new fans. My guess is Dana would move back to Spike or some other network before he dropped the show.
