i'm in the process of letting these huge cedar pieces dry, then I plan on sanding, putting a coat of clear on it, then mounting some antlers on ...

ide sure like a few of the cedar slabs. i make hat racks and need some for the base

I braided these cutoffs using a basketweave pattern for hanging from a mantle. I used 10 strands of colored rawhide about 6 feet long. Then I used some escutchens and some other beads to add some bling. You can make them more plain for rattling horns. Antlers with no browtines make the best ones for braiding.

I'm working with a buddy of mine on doing something like the picture on this site http://www.anythingengraving.com/portfolio/gallery5.htm and putting a area for the antlers to be mounted on....also just burning the images for kids first deer.

I can't remember exactly where I got this idea, but I saw a picture of shed antlers displayed on a replicated section of barbed wire fence and thought I would give it a try. I still haven't finished it, but you can get the idea what it looks like from this "work in progress" picture.

I am looking for the right pieces of wood for Fenceposts. If I can I'd like to find an actual old fencepost and cut it laterally in half to make 2 each mounting flush against the wall.
