Not anything fancy. I stored this one with the batteries and the corrosion wore down the coils and they broke when I tried to replace them. Anyone have experience in replacing or redoing the battery packs or know of somewhere I could have them repair it for cheap?

If you have kids, I'm sure you have lots of old battery opd' toys or anythig battery opd' but now useless. Find something with the same battery size as your camera & simply swap them out. Its a relatively easy fix.

To begin im no theif. I get angry as a customer when products I pay for dont last and when you call customer service for these company's not one of them stand behind their product. So all be danged if im gona eat a trail cam thats only been in the woods 2months a yr. So I go buy the excact same camera (hold on to reciept) swap camera for bad camera placing back just as it was before u opened it. March yo [censored] right back there (!few days later") and tell them you wanted to return this item wasnt working to my satisfactory. Yeah I know my almighty would prob frown on that but im not stealing. I take care of my cameras and feeder better than most so it frustrates me when I find one thats not functioning right. I paid full amount for the product in the past ,so its in me to want the broken one fixed. Hope this adds help sum and may the others not to be so oppinionated about me.

Both are good suggestions IMO.

If you know your way around a soldering iron, Radio Shack, or another electronic parts retailer should have replacement parts you can purchase.

Either that, or just find something somewhat flexible (or not) that conducts electricity with which to wedge between the battery ends & the tip of the broken spring-contact. Afterall, all you really need to do is complete the circuit.

If Radio Shack doesn't have the exact replacement, they also sell "project box" type battery compartments which you could hard-wire to the contacts in the existing compartment, and simply adhere the box to the camera somehow. Of course, you'll want to take measures to make the new box watertight.

I think it goes without saying but this is a good opportunity to remind y'all to take them batt-trees out when you go to store anything!! \:\)
