If it all works out, July 25-29, I will be heading back down south to a place a few folks on here know. We are going to rebirth two of the lakes, the one behind the lodge and the one behind the horse barn. We are going to fertilize and put the feeders back in to bring the bream up to specs. Spec being a healthy population of 1-2 pounders.

However, before we can do that, we need to reduce the bass population by 150 in the big lake and 70 in the horse barn lake. That means, for three days, everything under 2.5 gets cleaned. I anticpate coming back with a sore arm and a ton of fillets.

I also anticpate some superb bream fishing in 18-months. Everything is still for sale but the Col. has decided to revive the fishing and make it even better and book a limited number of hunters on the remaining 1700 acres.

I guess I'd better go buy 100-flukes and make sure my fillet knife is still working. I could use a few days of this kind of bream fishing again.

Yes it is...and it aint no fluke.

Me and unc use to put about 100 of these in the freezer every spring. Our biggest ever was 2.13 but one 3.02 was caught there. Hopefully, it will be like that again in a couple years/ The bream are there, they need some groceries.

We have a small local lake just out of Woodbury called Lake Ann that as a kid we would go to often...You could pull big blue gills out like these...I miss those days...

it's not bad, in August 2009,during a two week period, we had 277 bass between 6-10 pounds. Heck, I think Gil even caught one before the bobcat attacked him.

When culling, these youo throw back

These, you eat. This culling was four years ago. Add 3-4 pounds to the ones we threw back to get what they are like now. Gain rate was about a pound per year.

Then, just before I got sick, me and Unc fluked 'em and this was the average bass for two of the lakes. I could focus the camera better than Unc.

Those pictures are getting close to being like where I am blessed to be allowed to fish. The bubble gum fluke, ribbit, spinnerbait and buzzbait bite can be out of this world. Some of the lakes we fish average close to 100' deep and some of them average 15 feet deep. Lilly pads, stumps, grass, etc. Huge lodge, the counter tops are italian granite to give you a clue how nice the accomodations are. My best stringer was 7 bass that went 49 lbs. Several over 10 have been caught. Have had a couple days of wearing 4-6 fish on topwater for a couple hours at a time.

Our biggest to date is 13-6. You are allowed to keep one trophy fish over 10. But the lodge and private rooms suck. The food is just fair but it is okay for a couple days. I mean, they could at least put some better lighting in the rooms.

Sorry I ruined your fun of making fun of someone who does not get to hunt and fish on "canned types of fishing and hunting" like you do.

I have to work for everything I get, makes you appreciate a whole lot more.
