yep i'm agreeing it wouldn't be a cake walk but it could be done. IF a big IF it had to be done and you had the necessary practiced skills to do it.
It's fun to discuss what if's but none of those do a bit of good unless you get out and practice those skills. Oh i meant to add. years ago i was big time into rendezvous and reenactments. that's where i first picked up alot of my skills.

i agree. i think alot of people assume they could do it or rely too much on technology and not basic skills. sadly i think a whole generation of people are loosing woodsman skills.

I think many on here could survive if thrown into it just for our ability to kill, clean and cook. Fire, you have gun powder, a lot here would figure something out in the first few days. Shelter, well 30 days is a long time to not have a little protection from the elements. I only have a LITTLE experiance in this region of the world, take me to a new region and the game changes for me. but here in this region there are plenty of raw materials to get as extravagant on the shelter as one would want. After a few days many would figure out they didn't want to get wet when it rained or needed a wind block. Water, well again, in this region, never more than a few miles from it. find it, boil it, drink it. Food, .22 nuff said. As hunters we know what it takes to find something, shoot it, clean it, cook it, and eat it. Now I don't want you to think that I am saying it would be easy. Like I said in an earlier post it was a task doing it with a pack of gear. And again region would be a huge factor in tactics. Take me out of this region and I would struggle. Lack of human contact would be the easiest part for me, Lately I don't seem to like many humans anyway and sometimes take trips just to get away from humans.

yeah humans are a pain to me as well most times but i suspect many people thrust into a 30 day surviva;l scenario with no human contact would break down mentally before physically

I would have to agree with you guys , I do not like People around, why I do not know, but I feel much better without them.
I could last as long as need be in the wild with much less then you mentioned .
It helps to know what you can eat and what you need to avoid.

I think I could do it. In fact I would love to try it. Shelter would be easy to make and the fire would take a bit of work but if my life is on the line Ill become dedicated(not that you would even need fire to survive, depends what month)

if you think you could do it tell us how and what you would do to accomplish this.

What time of year is it and where? Do I have the ability to walk? Or am I just trying to avoid people while surviving for whatever reason... Time of year and location would make a big difference to how and what I did to survive.
