Last season I bought a roll-up sled with straps. I can pack it in on my stand rolled up like a tube. What a work saver for us folks who don't own ATVs!

Just what I have been looking for. On sale at cabelas for 49.00. Looks so much easier than the alternative. Thanks for sharing.

Ive got a heavy plastic snow sled($25-$35 depending upon where you buy it) I keep in the back of the truck. Drilled holes in the upper lip and ran rope all the way around it. Drug a small buck out with no problems.

I can't imagine this is in anyway practical for dragging a deer for a mile or in rough terrain: Ditch crossings? Cypress knees? Rocks? Up hill? Manipulating thick growth where you'll loose momentum due to turning? -no way.

The walk in area I hunt,I have to hike in about a mile thru agricultural fields. I think a deer cart would be alot better over flat ground.

I'm increasingly doing more and more butchering in the field and packing out the quarters in my pack. The more I think about it, the more I wonder why this is such an uncommon practice in the South.
