I know I've read on TNDeer or another forum about using foam insulation to deaden the sound of treestands.
Anyone have any helpful tips? I've looked at 2 of my Summits and really don't think the foam will make it around all of the bends. I've thought about drilling some holes large enough to accomodate the 6" application tube and going that way.
Any tips? Thanks.

You can make an extension tube for the foam out of clear tubing. May be able to get by with drilling only one whole in each section. Once you're done you can put a rubber gromlet in the hole to cover it up.

Buy the components and mix it as a liquid. You can pour it in a little at a time and it will run all the way down. Don't use the canned stuff, it will just stick wherever the end of the tube is.

You don't need to get foam all the way through every tube to quiet it down. Kinda like putting your finger on a tuning fork will stop the vibrations.
Can o spray foam worked well for me.

I used the can and it did pretty well. In addition I am in the process of sanding it down and using a rubber spray coating now. Then I will spray paint over it.

Ren, Make sure the rubber stuff is TOTALLY cured before you do anything.
I had a black goopy mess on my hands last season when I put rubber undercoater on a couple spots on my stand.
I think it takes about a week to completely cure.
