The first rangefinder I ever bought was a Bushnell Yardage Pro 450. I used it for years until I decided to try something else last year. Like you said, it always worked. It did everything I needed it to do but it was a little big. To me, it also wasn't the easiest to operate with one hand. I got a Leupold RX-600 last summer. They were like $200 at Cabela's at the time. I like it but like everything it has it's advantages and disadvantages. It's small and easy to use with one hand. It has a scan mode and multiple reticles. However, the display can be a little hard to see in low light. Also, it has 6x magnification. While the optics are clear, with the magnification it can be hard to hold steady when ranging stuff far away. Just pushing the button can cause me to wobble off target if it is small and a good piece away.

I've got the Nikon 550. Sold my Archer's Choice this past spring. Who really needs the angle compensator anyway?
I know Vortex just came out with one. I bet it is bad a**.

Leupold RX750 for me.
I've got the Nikon 550. Sold my Archer's Choice this past spring. Who really needs the angle compensator anyway? I shot a doe last year at a pretty extreme angle at 40 yards. I believe if I had not had angle compensation, my great shot would have become a marginal shot. True you don't "need" it, but one could argue that with the speed of today's bows, you don't need a rangefinder at all.

yup. been using it for years. On angled shots I shoot 2 yards shorter. Works like a charm.
