Last year bugs bunny outsmarted me and cleaned out 2 rows of beans before getting hit by a car in front of our house.

This morning as we were eating breakfast on the porch I saw Bugs Jr. hauling it through our side cow lot with a steer in hot pursuit. Went through the fence into the garden, saw us and made a hard right at the first watermelon plant and ducked through the fence to the field next door.

Looks like a new contest has begun. Any live trap suggestions?

Any of them will do. load it with stuff that rabbit's eat. Lettuce carrots etc. Make sure you set the trigger light and put the bait behind the pan. sometimes if you cover the trap up with a piece of carpet and make it look natural they are more apt to go in. I prefer just to shoot them with my air rifle.

Id pop it with a gun but don't want to freak out the cattle.

No takers on the apple slices last night.

Im betting thats what happened to our snaggle toothed row of beans. All the other rows came up well but that one looked clipped off at the ground.

No but my cheap ace pump gun is so inaccurate I would probably take a shot at Bugs and hit T-bone standing 20 yards away. \:D

Shoulda forked over some extra $ and got a quality bb gun.

Get some of the .22 shells with the hummingbird on the end of them. They barely make a noise. They fire from the primer alone with no powder. Alot of coonhunters use them and I assure you they will kill a coon so a rabbit would be no problem.

the Crosman I have retails something like $80 and comes with a scope and is accurate enough out to 20 yards or so. Prefer 10 yards.

That's cool, never heard of them. Would be a good city round since I live in the suburbs in city limits.

I know these aren't recommended for Rifles, but a lot of people use them anyway. I haven't tried them, but they seem fun. A friend of mine uses them in his carbine and just manually cycles the rounds. -bolt action would be better.
