I bought an Ameristep Brickhouse blind last year and really liked it. Its taller than a doghouse style blind and the tall corner windows help eliminate blind spots. I use a metal folding chair and have no problem shooting a bow out of it. I bought mine from Rural King in Martin, TN but they can be bought off ebay for around $110.

I have bow hunted out of an Ameristep Doghouse a bunch. It could be a little bigger but it's plenty doable. Especially if you have a shorter ata bow.

one thing to add about the doghouse, I might have got one that was above the average quality or maybe not, but I've had the same one out in the woods since like September of '08. It hasn't ever been taken down. Last season it was still holding up fine. Time will tell abouut this season.

Like AirMan said, if you're gonna buy one get a decent brand. My very first one was a Wally World special and it turned pink in just a couple of months.

I bow hunt from my Ameristep doghouse style as well and it works fine. Tall enough to stand up if needed. I use a folding camp chair and can either slide forward to shoot or ease off the chair into a kneeling position.

I have never hunted from a ground blind. I have been shoppin around for one and one thing I have noticed is alot of the have shoot through mesh. Does anyone have experience shootin through this mesh with a bow? They are advertized as saying you can shoot an arrow through it. It just seems to me this would screw up your arrow flight. Any reviews on shooting a bow from one of these blinds with shoot through mesh? Thanks!
