I used less than a full can of spray foam for my Viper. As far as the undercoating getting slick, you can use sand to minimize the slippage and improve grip. Just spray on the undercoating as you normally would, then, while it is still wet, sprinkle enough sand to get the desired texture. Let the first coat dry, then just spray the second coat over the sand to seal it up. Works great and really improved the traction.
