Saw a tom in full strut with 2 hens this past Thursday. Kinda surprised to see one strutting this long after season.

I have seen a video of toms in full strut in a winter flock with hens in December in middle tennessee. I guess they will do it any time.... I wonder if the one you saw was breeding any of the hens.

That gobbler is hanging those 3 hens near constantly. And best I can tell from alot of pics, those hens have no poults. There are some more hens running around with poults and the gobbler is never with them. So I am led to believe that their clutch has failed and he has or is going to breed them again. Logical assumption you think?

Logical assumption you think? Yes, IF the hens are receptive. The reason I say that is hens are capable of retaining viable sperm for about two months (up to 56 days) after being bred.

See at least one strutter most every morning on my way to work. See em strutting all during deer season too.
