Definitely either the same genetic line or possibly even the same buck. Very similar shape.
And the second buck in your pic (the one at the lick) is a very VERY common shape for the area. I call it the "crabclaw" shape. Several of the oldest bucks we've photographed or killed have that shape.
I don't know why we see so few basic 10-pointers in the area. They are definitely a rare thing, even among the oldest bucks. Although I did get a picture of what is already a 9-point buck (looks like a 3 1/2 year-old) and he still has plenty of time to grow that 10th point.

BSK, have you tried converting the IR pics to black and white. Some of the IR pics really lighten up and give you more detail if you do that. That's a great buck.
Hadn't thought of that. I'll give it a try.

UPSman killed the crabclaw buck , Rich nearly killed the other buck ...... or scared it your way .
