Just wondering how many of you have shot a bearded hen

Killed 4 or 5 back when i first started huntin. I see em all the time but dont kill em any more. Might as well kill em,I havent ever seen one with poults.

I have shot one many years ago accidentally, however I got some buds who have passed up on gobs to shoot a bearded hen and they have them mounted on the wall..............

it's on my bucket list but I don't plan to go shooting every bearded hen I see. I would like to have one under my belt though.

I shot one Easter morning. Have seen several through the years. Either out of season or out of bounds.

I was just wondering because I did get one this past season , she had an 8 inch beard. I regret not having her mounted. I'm pretty sure shes the same one we had been seeing for the past 2 years. I can't say that I ever recall seeing any with poults either but then again our lease has so many hens I don't know how one could tell which babies belong to which mama bird.

I've seen several but never shot any. I did see one around my house quite a bit a few years ago and thought if I got a shot with a bow I might try it but never did.

I went years without seeing one, but year before last I ended up seeing 2 within a few weeks of each other during deer season. I drew back on one of them with my bow, but she busted me before I got a shot off..
