I thought crows were off limits right now? Anyway turkeys will gobble year round. I've heard them during deer season.

Yeah i know they will gobble year round and i too have heard them in deer season but this fool was gobblin like it was openin day of turkey season

Saw 3 gobblers struttin yesterday with 4 hens..These same birds ran around during season without any hens and would not gobble or come to a decoy.....very unusual!!

I saw two old birds this morning at 11:00, one strutting and the other standing nearby with a single hen. They were about 80-100 yards off of a main road in a freshly planted bean field. I pulled over, rolled my window down, cut the truck off and yelped/squawked with my mouth (sounded like chit) and they both gobbled. I yelped/squawked several more times and they gobbled 4-5 more times before finally walking into the woods behind the hen. The hen came up out of some nasty thick stuff. I bet she had a nest nearby and they were just hoping she would give them the time of day.
