it is krylon and no prep work. It is not durable. I did it as a test of colors and painting flames.

my new job at work is painter on a pretty good sized line,,if the stock could withstand 350 degrees for 15 minutes I could do some awesome paint stuff,,,last inventory I looked at we had upwards of 600 colors.
80K volt charged paint and baked on,it aint coming off,,
