I have been hunting morning and evenings and seeing squirrels each time. Its going to be a HOT afternoon hunt if you go. If you could find a good food source and set up in ambush you can get in the squirrels. My biggest problem with spring squirrel hunting is the difficulty in finding a good foodsource versus the fall when they are in every oak or hickory tree. They love any tree thats blooming but with everything so early this year it would probably be difficult to find any tree with blooms on it.If it stays hot and dry any water source would be a good bet. I limited out 2 days in a row when squirrel season opened in 2008 hunting by the only water source on the property.
