I left the opening days of squirrel season on a camping trip with my family. That also made me miss the last two days of turkey season, but I was pretty much done with them anyway. We got back on Sunday and it rained most of the day. When I woke up this morning, even more rain so I didn't get to hunt. Instead I pumped up the new Disco. I haven't shot any game with it yet, so it needed to be blooded.

So it finally stopped raining and I wanted to just go out and shoot for awhile. I'd mounted one of my Gamo squirrel targets up in the tree so I can practice. The other one is on a big log about 35 yards away, also for practice. Earlier in the rain, I shot the cord off the target. I was getting my rain boots on to go fix the target when I noticed movement right above my squirrel target! Sure enough a skinny tail was trying to sneak through the trees. Toby the Wonder Pup, started looking that direction and going nuts. He was trying to climb up the fence
Since he could see it, I wanted him to learn why I've been trying to teach him to chase squirrels. I got into the screened in porch and grabbed the Disco and loaded a 14.3 grain Crosman Premier Hollow Point. The squirrel went flat against the tree with Toby going crazy.
I took careful aim and aimed right at the base of his neck. THWACK! It didn't even quiver. It hung on top of my target for a split second, and then fell into the brush. I ran down to the fence and let Toby go try and find him. He ran to the tree and instantly located the squirrel in the heavy brush. Good boy!
My Disco with the TKO brake
First Blood for the Disco! Way easier than the springers I must admit
Look at that for shot placement!
There is Toby the Wonder Pup with his first squirrel!
 Did I do good boss?

No, he saw it though. It was over the fence. When I shot it it fell into some HEAVY brush and he found it almost instantly though He is only a few months old and learning. He has a hound's voice too so it is kinda cool to hear him bark
