That sucks, and from reading your past season stories I know you generally have good seasons.
I am going to pst my wrap up later if I have the energy. Pretty tired, getting up at 3 am the past 8 mornings wears a body down.

i can't complain. we killed 2 birds and called in a couple more. i never claimed to be a turkey hunter and i'm not so i figure if we kill anything at all it was a good season.

It was a strange one for sure. Had it not been for me spotting them while out jogging the past two weekends I would have been skunked but got lucky. I sure hope next year is a little more normal.

I killed one in two days of hunting in TN so I cant say my season stunk I know alot of hunters that had a tough season

I killed two 21+ pound and two 18+ pound longbeards this season and only one of them made a sound. I do not enjoy those kind of hunts but I'll take 'em every time.

I've had worse years although this year wasn't the best. Season started out pretty good, I killed a Tom opening weekend and another old bird a week or so later, also called one in for the wife to kill. Hate to admit it but I missed an easy shot at a nice bird a couple of weeks ago. [got in a hurry and rushed the shot] stupid bird flew back up into a tree and we had a stare off for 10-15 min before he glided down to join up with his hens. It's always great to get into the woods, successful or not.
