Went this morning and didn't see or hear the first bird. Killed one Sunday afternoon in a horse pasture with hens and he gobbled several times.

I think the temp got them messed up. Going from high 60s at to high 40s at night.

Wednesday morning was nasty low gray clouds with rain coming in, and very humid. In my experience not very good gobbling weather, and it proved that again.
Today we had a 25 degree temp swing with a low of 41 Wed. night, combine that with what is left of the absurd moon, and the dreaded east winds and the birds were silent again.
Who knows what tomorrow brings, but maybe better talking.
