I don't know! At this point in my turkey hunting career I have came to the conclusion that I HATE turkeys and everything that they represent! 
Based on what I've heard from others it's likely he'll come back if that's a spot they use regularely. No telling when though..

Go back. You'll never know unless you try again. IMO, each turkey is different. The ones I hunt tend to roost in same area no matter what.
