It just got through raining and storming here. Had a jake way out in the field gobbling before it hit but he disappeared. I'm just sitting and listening now after the downpour storm

it does get boring and frustrating this time of year but knowing there are still killable birds out there keeps me going...

Watched one today gobbling his head off while the rain was pouring on him,he seemed to ignore the storm.

I stuck it out until 11 this morning -was pretty hot and dry here. I didn't hear any gobbles and only saw 2 hens.

i had a few gobbles by the one bird before it rained, but nothing after. I was hoping the rain would put them out in the field, but it did nothing. I got up before I left and walked the property and hit the call...didnt see or hear a single thing.

Hunted from 9 am to 9 pm. Rode 60 miles on a 4 wheeler found trip not to hear a single thing! Long day!
