I don't right now. Squirrels are hard to find. For hot weather the dogs don't work as good. Snakes don't help.

I've tried it a few times. If they do tree, you can't find the squirrel due to the leaves. For me if I can't shoot them out and reward them it may make a loose tree dog if they can't be rewarded with game.

Now I say this IF you have your dog at the point where he is working well and has a good idea about the woods and knows the hunter well.

Lets say you have a young dog that needs to learn how you hunt, and you need to learn the dog. I would say keep after them this time of year if you are wanting to get things like commands trained. Great time of the year for that. I just would not expect anything out of the dogs right now, or be disappointed if nothing happens as far as treeing game.

Some hunters will tell you stay after them anytime you have and will make a great dog any time of the year.

I'm using the bird feeders in the neighborhood for training. There are always squirrels around those things.

It is hard for him to see them though once they get up in the foliage.
