I was cleaning the bird I killed this morning. He had a puncture wound on the inside of one of his legs. The puncture was the perfect size to match a spur. Is my guess right that this was a fight wound? Has anyone else seen this?

Yep. Spurred while fighting. Make sure to cut clear around it if it looks infected.

Seen it in the legs & breast. It can get nasty too seen it where it was so infected that it had turned green & stunk. Needless to say cut some big chunks out around that.

When I was a kid a friend of mine was a big chicken fighting fan, I didnt know why he got so excited about it, after all it was a puny little chicken, how hard can it hit.
One day a rooster gave me a sample of what a puny little set of legs had to offer, it gave me a sharp whack on my wrist, man it knocked the slobber outta me.
I can imagine what afull grown turkey could do.
