Seriously! He's been in a Hendrick Car for how many years? Mark Martin won HOW MANY races in a Hendrick car? And his contract wasn't extended!
Kyle Busch won HOW MANY races in a HEndrick car? His contract wasn't extended!
Dale JR has won exactly 0, Zero, Cero, points races in a Hendrick car. Yet every week on TV they act like "this could be the week".
At what point as a car owner do you cut your ties and say "hey, I made a mistake, I thought you'd win, but you haven't, go drive for Ganassi.
I got $5 that says Kasey Khane will win in a Hendrick car before JR does.
Who's up for it?
And Martinsville is this week! JR's CLOSEST to winning track in like 5 years lol

Well, Dale Jr. proly makes more money in a year on merchandise and hendrick proly makes more money off of him than anyone else. jmo

He is in Nascar riding pops coat tails. I like Jr...but if it wasnt for his name, he wouldnt be where he is.
There are MANY drivers struggling to keep a ride with far more talent than Jr.
He is kind of the poster child for Nascar

You are incorrect. Eury JR won a points race (imho mind you) not Dale JR, by telling JR NOT to pit at michigan, when we had a different president lol. Any driver could have stayed out and risked it. It was a Crew cheif call, thereby I give credit to the one that earned that win.
Hendrick is a business man, as we all know. So much so, that he has to sign "yes" on forms that say "have you ever been convicted of a felony?".
I don't know what the % a car owner gets compared to the merchandise sold is, but I'm betting Hendrick knew what he was doing when he dumped a proven winner/loose cannon named Kyle for a hopeful champion contender named............
So I get why he's staying I guess. Wins are simply not important. What a weird organization they have going on there.

Wins are simply not important. What a weird organization they have going on there.
THATS what is wrong with NASCRAP today, its about publicity, corporate/sponsor exposure and NOT about wins, driving ability or performance. Thus the sports "golden boy" is a guy who can't drive nails or a golf ball, much less in traffic at 200mph! 
He wasn't born with driving talent, he was born with the right name. Look at his former team mate, the WORST driver in NASCRAP history... Mikey Waltrip! The ONLY cup wins he had in 500 starts was 2 Daytona 500s, one was with Dale Jr. driving so aggresively trying to keep the pack back that he died doing it. Then the next one was when he was accidently leading when the rains came and eventually the race was called. HE never WON by his own talent or ability!  but he drove for years and made millions because he had the name and a saleable image!
Imagine what couldve been done had REAL drivers been behind the wheels of the great cars and MEGAMILLIONS spent on the teams that Jr. and Mikey have had WASTED on them.
But its about exposure and publicity, NOT racing anymore so you dont have to be good!

You are right. JR is in the books as the winner, and he got the points for that.
I just find it odd that there have been zero wins since then, new CC's, different guys in the pits, everything has changed.
But the driver.
And he still has a job.
